Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

By Katrina - March 01, 2025

Our recent visit to EPCOT at Walt Disney World was nothing short of magical, perfectly timed with the commencement of the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Running from March 5 to June 2, 2025, this festival celebrates its 30th anniversary, transforming the park into a vibrant tapestry of blooms, topiaries, and culinary delights. Our day at EPCOT was filled with laughter, learning, and a deep appreciation for the beauty around us.

Our daughter was the epitome of festival chic, dressed in an adorable outfit from FlamingoBabyBoutique (Instagram @FlamingoBabyBoutique), complemented by the most adorable Minnie and Daisy slip on and comfortable shoes from Walmart. Her ensemble garnered numerous compliments throughout the day, adding to our joy.

Adding a personal touch to our daughter's attire, I crafted a DIY denim jacket adorned with iron-on patches from Hobby Lobby and individually placed rhinestones. This simple yet stylish project not only enhanced her outfit but also attracted numerous compliments from fellow park-goers.

One of the festival's highlights was the debut of new topiaries featuring Moana, Maui, Heihei, and Pua, greeting guests with their lush designs. These intricate sculptures showcased Disney's commitment to blending storytelling with horticultural artistry. We were also delighted to see stunning topiaries from The Lion King, including Simba being lifted by Rafiki, as well as beloved Disney friends like Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy, each displayed beautifully among the gardens. One of our absolute favorites was a Mickey Mouse topiary playing tennis—a perfect nod to our family's love for the sport!

A standout moment was exploring the "Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana" attraction. This self-guided outdoor trail offers interactive water features that educate guests about the water cycle, embodying EPCOT's mission to entertain and enlighten. It was amazing to see how water responded to our movements, and our daughter had a blast playing in the interactive areas.

We also had an incredible time at the France Pavilion, where we immersed ourselves in the charm of Parisian streets and delicious treats. One of the highlights was riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, where we shrank down to the size of a rat and scurried through Gusteau’s kitchen in a thrilling 4D experience. The combination of movement, scents, and visuals made us feel like we were truly part of the movie, and we laughed so much as we dodged kitchen mishaps. It was such a fun and immersive ride that we can’t wait to do again!

Being Disney World Annual Passholders, specifically with the Pixie Pass, has enriched our family experiences, allowing us to partake in such events and create lasting memories. The flexibility and exclusive perks of the pass make each visit special, reinforcing our love for the magic Disney offers. We eagerly anticipate our next adventure, knowing that with Disney, there's always something new to discover.

with love,
Katrina
